Dr. Zhang joined the Digital Agriculture Lab at UC Davis in June 2020. Before that, she completed her PhD program at AgRobotics Lab and earned her PhD degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from Washington State University in May 2020. She also earned a Master's degree in Agriculture, and a bachelor's degree in Agronomy. She continues her work as a postdoctoral fellow at UC Davis with research interests in site-specific remote sensing, computer vision (machine/deep learning-based), canopy-machine interaction, and data science/interpretation in specialty crops in California and Washington.
Dr. Zhang is conducting aerial data analytics for development of decision-support-tools for specialty crops.
