PhD Student Position

The successful candidate will work on developing data-driven decision-support tools for California specialty crops using remote sensing (satellite and drone), spectral modeling, crop modeling, AI/ML, and deep learning to optimize crop management and resource efficiency.

Requirements

• Master’s in Agricultural Engineering, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with remote sensing, spectral modeling, GIS, Python
• AI/ML/deep learning proficiency
• Excellent written/oral communication and teamwork

Preferred

• Radiative transfer modeling & ray tracing
• Web application programming
• Peer-reviewed publications
