Duration: summer and fall quarters (potential for extension to 2021)
Hours: Minimum work of 20 hr/wk in summer and 10 hr/wk in fall is required
Eligibility: Graduate and senior undergraduate students in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering programs
Description: The Student Assistant will work on a web interface/application and a server for geospatial visualization (and processing) service. The ultimate objective of this project is to provide agricultural users a platform to upload aerial photogrammetry raster mosaics and derive statistics from the raster. Users will use the interface to better understand within-field variabilities for their crops and orchards.
Requirement: Working experience with Python and Python web frameworks; deployment on a cloud service (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services)
Bonus skill: Knowledge about GIS, image processing
